Due poiane / Two buzzards
Alle 20.30, quando il sole era ormai basso sull'orizzonte, me ne sono andato, e nel prato appena tagliato volto a est presso il bivio del taglio c'erano due poiane posate a terra, che mi hanno osservato senza timore, finché non sono ripartito.
I arrived at the Visitors' Centre at 3:30PM, in a hot afternoon without a breath of wind. I did a tour along the nature trail with Lorenzo, to point out various works to be done to improve it; meanwhile it were singing some Bonelli's warbler in the small pinewood and a subalpine warbler not far from the barn. Along the trail the long inflorescence of a fragrant orchid has flowered. I looked though the binoculars for long, but nothing come out from the woods, even with the approach of evening. As the afternoon advanced a song trush started to sing, and a male redstart fled across the garden with meal to feed to his nestlings.
At 20.30, when the sun was now low on the horizon, I left; in the meadown facing east form the junction of Taglio, there were two buzzards on the ground. They observed me without fear, and stayed even after I went away.
